Mozilla Thunderbird
The following is a step-by-step guide in setting up your POP3 email account in Mozilla Thunderbird. Additional information can be found in the Thunderbird Help Documentation.
Before we go further you will need to have ready the following information:
- Your Email Address
- Your email Account Name
- Your email Account Password
- Launch Thunderbird and click on Tools, Account settings
At the Account settings screen click Add Account.
Click on Email account and click next.
Add in the details your name and your email address and click next.
Select POP3 and enter the incoming mail server
- @idnet.com Incoming server: pop3.idnet.com Outgoing server: smtp.idnet.com
- @idnetfreemail.co.uk Incoming server: pop3.idnet.net Outgoing server: smtp.idnet.net
- @idnet.co.uk Incoming server: pop3.idnet.net Outgoing Server: smtp.idnet.net
Enter your incoming username, this will normally be your email address.
You will need to give the account a name, this can be anything to represent the account in Thunderbird.
Check the settings are typed correctly and select finish.
